Football Soccer preview - Apr 10th, 2018

This is our first issue of Futbeisbet Weekly Soccer Preview. Many of you have asked why we publish tips less than 24 hours from the start of the event and if this means we don’t have a “game plan” of the betting opportunities in advance and the answer to these questions is easy: Yes, we do plan and tips are published with less than 24 hours to kick off because the information we gather in advance is challenged with any “last minute” changes. If we posted tips with greater anticipation, we would have less certainty of the scenarios that are pose on the analysis of the event.

From now on, we will publish our weekly plan in this space. This doesn´t mean that we’ll give our predictions, but you can get a sense of the tendencies that we identify. Publishing day will be Mondays and the preview will cover games until next Monday. We hope you enjoy.

Second leg UEFA Champions League Quarter finals

A WALK IN THE PARKRoma vs. Barcelona

Roma host Barcelona at the Stadio Olimpico with practically no chance of a comeback after a 4-1 loss (4S Pro tip WON - FTR/TG - 1/+3.5) at the Camp Nou last week. Roma must score three unanswered goals to advance, having scored a goal on the first leg.

Roma lost their Serie A home match to Fiorentina this Saturday 0-2. Kolarov, De Rossi, Florenzi and Pellegrini who started against Barcelona where benched, giving them rest for this week’s definite match, although Kolarov came in at the 58th minute for Manolas and Florenzi at the 68th for Strootman, they both where on the starting eleven at Camp Nou.

On the other hand, Barcelona swift through a weak Leganes on their week 31st match at home of La Liga 3-1, all three goals from who else but Messi.

Di Francesco’s squad will play open on their turf and try to accomplish the impossible, given that Barcelona has never blown an advantage this big in quarter finals. We expect both teams scoring and a very probable away win.

Look forward to a pro tip on this match.

THE GAME TO WATCHManchester City vs. Liverpool

Manchester City host Liverpool at the Etihad looking to make a historical come back. Having lost 3-0 (Free tip LOST – TG – +3.5) at Anfield, the Citizens need also three unanswered goals, but this to force extra time.

It’s been a hard knock week for Pep’s side having conceded 6 goals, 3 of them at home to archrival Manchester United (2-3), who also delayed their Premier League championship celebration. After a 2-0 first half lead, Mourinho’s boys crashed Man City’s party by scoring 3 goals and ending their year-round unbeaten mark at home. Using Roma’s same strategy, Pep gave rest to De Bruyne, Jesus, Laporte and Walker, giving some play time on the second half to the first two.

For Liverpool it was a bore draw (2S Pro tip LOST – GG – Yes) this weekend at Goodison Park. The Merseyside derby gave no goals to talk about. Klopp benched Firmino, Chamberlain and Arnold who started against Man City on the first leg, giving them only 22, 16 and 1 minutes of play against Everton. Salah did not make the list given he came out injured

We know both teams like to have the ball and pressure at every line when they’re defending. They always go forward, but given that Salah might not make it, Man City have a great advantage of not conceding, so we expect the home side to win this match, the question is, will they make it through? Let’s wait and see.

EFL Championship game week #42

With only 5 game weeks left, there’s still a lot to be written on the tournament, only Queens Park Rangers aren’t going anywhere. Mathematically Fulham, Cardiff and Wolverhampton can lift the trophy. Aston Villa, Derby County, Middlesbrough and Millwall could make it to the Premier League next year without playoffs. Millwall, Bristol City, Sheff United, Brentford, Preston North End, Norwich, Leeds, and Ipswich can still make the playoffs. Nottingham Forest, Hull, Reading, Birmingham, Bolton, Barnsley, Sunderland and Burton are fighting against relegation. With this said, let’s review some of the games we find interesting and with opportunity of income.

A FIGHT FOR GLORYAston Villa vs. Cardiff City

Both teams battling for promotion come from defeat last match week. Villa lost at Carrow Road 3-1 on Saturday, while Cardiff lost at home 0-1 (Free tip LOST – FTR – 1) on a dramatic match against EFL Championship leaders Wolverhampton, the welch team missed 2 penalties on stoppage time. Steve Bruce’s side has only lost one of their last 7 matches at home, while Warnock’s team has managed to get point on their las 7 away matches. We expect a very close match, should be a one goal game, even though Villa got thrashed 3-0 in Cardiff on the first half of the tournament.

PUSH ME UP/PULL ME UPFulham vs. Reading

Fulham looking forward on maintaining a fifteen-game undefeated streak and hoping to take over playoff avoidance number two position of the table, with a possible winless game week for Cardiff City, host struggling Reading who are just 5 points above relegations spots. Both teams won their last match on a one goal game, Fulham as visitors at Sheffield Wednesday (0-1) and Reading at home made the damage against Preston North End (1-0). The home side should win this match in a seamless manner.

IT AIN’T OVER TILL IT’S OVERSunderland vs. Norwich

Sunderland struggling to retain position for next season’s EFL Championship host a Norwich side who´s season is practically over. With 15 points still at stake, the Black Cats are 8 points away from salvation, while the Canaries are 12 points away from a playoff spot.

Last game week Sunderland played at Elland Road and after leading the match at the 48th minute, Leeds managed to tie at the 72nd, ending with 10 men 1-1 (3S Pro tip WON – DC – X2) draw. On the other hand, Norwich thrashed promotion seeking side Aston Villa 3-1

We expect a home win, even though they have only done it twice this season.
