Football Tipster Preview - Apr 24th, 2018

A huge surprise for the football world last matchday in the UEFA Champions League, when Roma upset Barça, the most of us did not see that coming. That’s why there’s no doubt this is the best Football tournament in the planet. Last year it was the other way around when Barça was on the ground to PSG and managed to set a record comeback. Semifinals UEFA Champions League – First Leg

Liverpool vs. Roma

The unexpected match… Not because of the draw of the two teams to play the semifinals, but because since the draw of the quarter finals, these two went against favorite teams to win the tournament and made it through. Liverpool get to host Roma for the first leg at Anfield, where they haven’t lost this Champions League season. On the other hand, Roma’s has only won once as visitor this season and has earned one draw, both results came in group stage, but is not worthy to say that in both elimination series they have scored one goal as visitors.

We are expecting the same Liverpool as always, very fast and precise from three quarters and up. Roma are going to try to minimize damage by trying to keep the mid field and their side of the pitch.

Some interesting facts:

Liverpool (game squad information)

  • Has scored 39 goals in 12 Champions League matches this season, this includes 6 goals in a two leg qualifying series against Hoffenheim
  • Have only conceded 4 goals at home in 6 matches, this includes 2 goals from Hoffenheim in qualifiers.
  • Has not conceded in last 4 home Champions League matches.

Roma (no game squad information)

  • Have scored against all their rivals as visitor except Atletico in group stage
  • Have lost their last three away matches in Champions League
  • Have received at least one goal in all their away matches

7th (68) Derby County vs. Cardiff City (86) 2nd - Game pending from matchday 38

Derby host Cardiff on a match that will define both teams aspirations.
